Epson L1800 Out of paper and ink lights blink.

Hello, im sorry if these kind of problems are not for this forum.

Printer stopped mid printing. There was a tiny bit of smoke and a burning smell. Im just curious what could be the problem. Is it worth it to fix it or i should look for a new printer.  New one is 600 eur and to fix it is 300. The printer is 2 months old.

If it’s only 300 to have it fixed, I’d go that route. But if you don’t know what’s wrong, and don’t replace every bad component and fix whatever caused the original issue, all those new parts will be out the window- in that case I’d buy a new one.
