Flushing OEM inks from Epson 4880

Greetings.   I need to flush the oem inks from my 4880 before adding dtf inks.  Is it as simple as filling re-fillable carts with flushing liquid and performing an ink charge to purge it all?

Yea, more than one ink charge though usually.

im about to flush out the OEM inks from an Epson 4800.

Can I use distilled water for this as well or do I hve to use special cleaning or flushing solutions for this.

My $0.02, stock pigment inks can be flushed with distilled water.
