Buckles Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 HEll everyone, AcroRip just released version 10.3 and it now includes the Epson ET-8500 and ET-8550 to its list of printers. Does anyone know how to convert an Epson ET-8550 to DTF? This looks like a pretty interesting printer since you don't have to worry about using chipless firmware for the inks. Quote

I saw that a month or two ago. You would need to replace the Ink tank with something else- like an external ink tank/damper system with white ink circulation, or modify the original to do similar. Buckles Posted July 17, 2021 Author Posted July 17, 2021 Thanks for the response. Would I need to remove the rollers? Quote

anum11 Posted November 3, 2021 Posted November 3, 2021 It seems similar to xp15000, however in orginal use i think xp15000 uses pigment inks, these models uses dye inks. Quote
Hangry Muscle Posted November 10, 2021 Posted November 10, 2021 ET-8550 DTF Printing and Curing Its been about a month everything is still running smooth on my DTF (direct to film) converted Epson ET-8550. I've had to do very little maintenance, just refilling and a couple cleanings. Quote

It immediately invalidates all of it to me, based on the very principle that the white ink must be shaken. Quote
