  1. The DTF transfers feel like a plastisol Transfer, at least to me.
  2. DTG/DTF is a fantastic addition to any screenprint business though. 2 year screen printer, who now uses all three methods. My business has taken off over it, at least in my eyes :)
  3. I didn’t have this problem myself, if I printed larger than the sheet it just kept printing on the end. I can see as soon as the paper reaches the end where the rear isn’t supported, it lifts up and hits the printhead because it’s not supported in the front. What you suggest makes total sense, but isn’t there also soposed to also be a paper tray?
  4. I may be wrong, but from my knowledge it needs an output tray to hold the paper up. That would be an Andy question, I’m not sure if he does something different, or maybe it just wasn’t included etc. he’ll probably reply in the morning.
  5. To me it looks like the output tray isn’t in place. With DTF those rollers are missing that hold the paper down, the tray holds the paper up so that doesn’t happen.
  6. Do you have the output tray in place? Not just the stock one. If so, you can also go into settings ( wrench on main menu) maintenance, thick paper, and turn that on.
  7. The first type I had didn’t do this, it was thicker. I recently received the thinner stuff and that’s when that happened to me. Roll is probably the way to go anyway, no waste at the end.
  8. Oh, I don’t know. I just meant the paper slipped while loading, adding the paper in the back and keeping that guide a bit loose and it’s worked fine since with the several sheets I printed. I’m actually switching it over to the p400 since it makes more since for me and it’s been loading fine as well. Unfortunately I don’t know of anything else to do.
  9. Maybe, I turned all that off. Mine it was the timing was incorrect.
  10. There should be a gap of about 1/4 inch, at least for regular photo paper and what I did with my film. It’s worth a try anyway. I know my feeder doesn’t “ push” forward if it’s too tight.
  11. just out of curiosity, did you leave about a 1/4 inch gap between the paper slide guide and the paper?
  12. Ekprint kothari acro rip The “best” is kothari for $1,000. then EKprint for $350 then acro rip for $25. i find EKprint to be the easiest to use, kothari is a bit more advanced. acro rip, I have no idea. After a few days of poor results(I was a new user, probably me) I went to EKprint, it was easy to use and learn.
  13. If it has a rip available for it, and chipless/reset chips, then yes.
  14. Makes total sense. Out of curiosity, which powder would I have?
  15. Nevermind, Apparently I can't read the description
  16. What are the differences between the 3 types of transfer powder? Aside from the granule size, how does each affect the quality, etc.
  17. Kothari, EkPrint both have roll options. If your not loading sheets very well, add some regular paper behind the film.
  18. You could also be printing on the wrong side of the film, it should look like a little ink bubble, but not so much it's runny or anything like that. The p800 does lay down the ink though, I only put in 2 white ink cartridges in mine.
  19. For DTF it's going to be the same principle across all of the printers. 1.Remove the " Pizza Wheels" from the printer, however you need to do that. 2. build an output tray to hold/support the film, the "pizza wheels" you removed used to do that. 3. obtain ARC cartridges ( auto reset) or chipless firmware and empty carts. 4. Obtain RIP software 5. Install Ink Waste Tank or if it has a stock replaceable waste pad, you can use that too. 6. Buy DTF supplies from Andy That's it other than a heat press and heat gun or some other curing method. I don't think anyone will make a break down or " how to" for each and every printer, But it's not complicated you just have to get in there an do it.
  20. I’d contact the person from who you purchased it from. If you’ve selected the printer and the correct port via usb, and it doesn’t respond, does it send it to the print que? If not I’d assume since it’s installed correctly it’s something with the program. I read some of the hacked ( cheap ebay versions) has glitches, maybe that’s one of them. good luck!
  21. Yea, If air helped, wiping it down with alcohol will help more. Photo papers deposit crap on that roller that you can't see, assuming the person who used it before used it for photos. I use them for more than T-shirts, and both my p600/p800 have trouble picking up Matte photo paper the same way, after several runs. That blended with it's placement and the lid open, it gets dust on it too. After sticking the paper behind it, it has loaded the new film without issue every time. I had a different type of film than you at first, ( more than likely) and it ran through fine since it was thicker film, that's why I was confused with the issue until I tried the new film.
  22. Out of curiosity I tried the film that I have, that you probably have. It does do this in my P800 as well. As Andy stated, putting sheets of paper behind it solved it for me ( I put like 20 sheets, because why not). The reason it does this, ( even does it to me sometimes with regular photo paper too, Mainly Matte) is When the ASF is triggered, vs the PE ( paper load) there is a certain "time" that is allowed. If it doesn't hit that mark, it spits it out.
  23. Was it a used printer? if so get some alcohol, and wipe down ( without leaving lint) the paper feed roller with the alcohol. I just select “ paper feed path cleaning” and hold it there as it spins around. Alcohol pads would probably work too. let it air dry, try again.
